Controls2 - Fonts - Courier

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Hey, do you want me to see if I can make it slightly smaller, so that the bottom flap stays intact?

It is now - 768x768 - and you do have a little bit of room at the top, and both sides.

What is the next even number under that one 736x736? - something about the graphic has to be divided by four?

Please do. 736x736 seems right according to my calculator. But I don't always believe it... ;)

born2see - Folding Message V2

I changed the resolution to 736x736 on a 1024x1024 background.

Please test this and let me know.

Question - are you still playing with the LamarPen file, or did you change it?

Perfect. Looks great! I haven't done anything with the LamarPen font but if you like I'll see if I can substitute it.

Great News, – now we know that that is the resolution to use if more courier messages are created.

I’m still fond of the RageItalic font, but I know that you preferred the LamarPen font.

I have been playing around with different courier messages, trying to change the design here and there, but didn’t come up with anything useful.

While, my mind is still on these files, I’m going to make notes about how this gscreen file works, before I forget.

Can we have two offered mods when the changes are done? One with the RageItalic and the other with the Lamar Pen? I see someone succeeded in removing the redundant time listing.

By the way, what is the latest mod to update/improve the way the courier system works?

I think it's your call, D. You've done the yeoman's share of the work. Pick one and that'll be the official mod.

Amish John - I'll have them posted within the hour, with both fonts.

All of the messages do not have that time-stamp-header - it might be a good idea to see if Norb can remove that header from the game. A message shouldn't write the time three times, and have the seconds printed on the message.

Hey, finally found a letter from the civil war, check out this site.

Pick one and that'll be the official mod.
Let's use both of them - this way the user will have the option of which font to use.

Both Mods are listed as follows.

1) Fold_Message_v2_Rage - this will use the RageItalic font. (736x736 on 1024x1024)

2) Fold_Message_v2_LPen - this will use the LamarPen font - (736x736 on 1024x1024) - from born2see.
