Too late now. I have wiped everything including the registry entries. Does SOWGB not have an uninstall facility ? I couldn't find one and did it the hard way.

My agent in the UK has the repurchase in hand.

I had the program on D: and the 1.5 install put the updated version in G:.(Where WINDOWS XP Lives) I wasn't asked to nominate a drive even though I was using the revised 1.5 patch. The SOWGB application generated failed to start on either version.

At least I will end up now with a single version already at 1.5 and the registry data should be less weird.

I'm not exactly sure but this might be it in the picture below. Also, the Add \ Remove Program - should also be able to uninstall the game.

Whoa....I thought everything was installed nice and easy, until I just read a post above that made me realize I have a problem. When I installed I was not given a prompt for my activation codes for Pipe Creek or Antietam....I didn't think anything was wrong at the time. Now I see that I don't have access to either of those add-ons.

So how do I activate Pipe Creek and Antietam? SOWG installed just fine. I have the necessary codes; I just need a solution on how to activate them.

I have not yet started looking for a post that can help----I just came across the problem. Anyone have a similar experience??

Those two uninstalls are for Antietam and Pipe Creek. There isn't one for the entire game.

I have never yet seen SOWGB appear on the CONTROL PANEL, "add and delete programs" population.

It's never been a problem before, but now the need can arise to clear the decks cleanly and start again.

Maybe, that's why I stated that I'm not exactly sure, I have never uninstalled the game.

But, it's also listed in my Add \ Remove Programs, so I'm not sure why it isn't listed in yours.

I think that you have to register on the Matrix Forum - and download the Patch from there.

There are several post on this forum where some have used that Forum to uninstall \ re-install the complete game.

I'm not going anywhere near this patch until I completely understand what I should do.

I'm not touching the registry - did that once a few years ago and it bit me.

I have Antietam and Pipe Creek add-ons. Can someone please give a clear accurate step-by-step solution preferably without the role-playing?

agreed. ive been away for two weeks and i return to find the ant hill well and truly stirred!
im staying well away as well,the last thing my game needs is my luddite fingers all over my registry.tried that once and was also bit hard.

Before people start wiping their drives, use the revised patch. It will ask you where you want to install the patch. Just navigate to the location of your old game and all should be fine.

Revised 1.5 Patch

Davinci, I went to the post you suggested and installed the 1.5 update (which I did originally as well), but it still did not give me a prompt for my Pipe Creek or Antietam activation codes. I could not find an answer in the Matrix forums.....but surely the answer is there somewhere....I'm just not finding it.
