I noticed in the newest screenshots that some of the units, espeically Artillery are suspended in air. Just wonderine if you've noticed this and if it will be corrected.
Thanks

I have bug reports submitted for the obvious cases of this, but I believe sometimes it's just unavoidable. From the views you speak of, if you pan the camera in another direction, they are no longer levitating. Yeah it's not perfect but I believe it's just a product of the game engine.

If I'm not mistaken there actually were reports of levitating Union troops at First Manassas.

I heard this too. It was one of the little known causes for the Union defeat, there and at other battles. Units would sometimes experience spontaneous levitation while engaging the enemey, become frightened, disorganized and easily driven from the field. Fortunately, the problem was mostly sorted out by early 1863, with the exception of the 11th Corps.

I believe it had to do with the "Scourge" of Helium addiction that ran rampant through the Union army during this time.
Which explains the use of "Scourge" in "Scourge of War" . . . it's a little known fact that the Battle Of Gettysburg was not fought over the Confederate army's need for footwear, but instead their wanting to corner the lucrative helium market to help finance their war efforts . . .
It's also where the phrase; "Let's get high." originated. I'm surprised more people aren't aware of this.
*NOTE* Kudos to Norm and gang for paying homage to historical accuracy by including this in their game. I must say, the visual representation of this little known fact, is superb . . . but I digress . . . .
Luckily for the Union army, a quick-thinking officer solved this "scourge" by loading his men's pants with musket balls. The added weight brought everyone back down to the ground . . .
This historical fact wasn't discovered until the 1960's, culminating in the use of the phrase; "You're really bringing me down." first coined during the infamous Civil War re-enactment called "Woodstock". This re-enactment was so "real", everyone attending decided to "get high" and forgo bathing during the entire celebration. Which leads us to the origination of the phrase; "Let's get real." . . but I digress even further . . .
Around this time, people also began hearing the phrase; "Dropping a load". Explained by the fact Union soldiers had to first "drop their load" of musket balls before continuing on with their business when nature called.
As you can probably tell, my American History college professors were "amazed" at my knowledge of both the American Civil War and expertise on the origins of many of today's popular sayings . . . They told me my work was "Fantastic", which explains all the F's on my grade card. '
:woohoo:

The larger the sprite, the bigger chance you have to levitate, there's no way around it. It all depends on your viewing angle to the sprite. All you have to do is go as low as possible and tilt up to look at units on a hill and you can see it.

Are you gonna be able to change the size of the sprites as in TC2M? One of the mods I downloaded made the sprites really big....I hated that. Is their size ration to the rest of the world going to be realistic?

You can change the size and our default ones are realistic. It's up to the modder to keep it that way.

Yeah, I loved TC2M, but when I started downloading the Mods for it, I had a lot of problems, and it eventually crashed. I had to completely delete it, afterward, when I was readly to play the game...I couldn't find it, and had to buy it again.........gotta another question....if this game is going to be direct download only...is there any way we can protect ourselves from losing the game, or are we only going to have the option of backing up our own files?
