Just curious about clans for the mp aspect of this beautiful game. I prefer southern side . So if there be southern clans I would appreciate an invite

I'm pretty sure norb has said that the game does not support clans. However, that doesn't mean that people can't start and maintain them on their own.

If I had to pick a side based on affinity I would pick the Union, however, I look forward to playing both sides on and off line. Variety is the spice of gaming.

There is nothing in the game to support clans etc. We expect that that clans, ladders, tournaments etc will be organized and maintained by the users who are interested in that type of activity.

Most often clans are formed not for one side or another (union vs. confederate in this case), but by guys who enjoy playing with/against each other. Some clans are also formed for competition and base their membership on one's skill level. It all depends if you want something casual or competitive.

Given the historical nature of this game and it community though, you may see a couple Union clans or Confederate clans.

The 3rd Corps 1805 will take a close look at this game and may also play it.

We also plan to do some tournaments, but first we need to see the game and the MP mods.
