The error message is the one where the game does not find a valid map file. It may be that the file got corrupted during download. Best suggestion is to download the demo again and reinstall.

I will need to wait until this evening before I can get on a connection to try and re-produce the bug, but in the meantime just to rule it out, it wouldn't hurt to re-download the demo and try again. It's possible the demo is corrupt.

It is very likely a faulty download. Comcast has been shoddy the last two weeks. Think they've been working on it.

Okay. Re-installed and I got in to a MP demo. All good now. Bad install apparently.
