This does basically the same thing as being in the SoWGB lobby, but it is outside the game. It is easier to use than the in-game lobby, runs in a window and doesn't make your computer as much slower while it's running. It's perfect if you want to be able to see who's in the lobby easily without having the game on.

It has a friends system, private chat, and other features. It also plays a sound when someone enters the room so you can be alerted while you're browsing the forum or doing whatever.

It is very straightforward to install and get into the SoW lobby.

So I installed it, and when you launch it I clicked on create account and it brings me to a page thats "under construction" with no noticeable option for signing up for the service. Whats the URL you went to to create an account?

I would create your account in our game, it's much easier there. Then just use that same account in the client.

I haven't figured out how to get auto-launch working (if its even possible). So what I use this for is to sit in the lobby on one account, and then when people want to play, I turn on the game and log in with another account and play with that. Obviously not everyone's going to use this, but its good for people who want to see whats going on without going into the game.

I tried installing this but when I launch i get "failed to load control 'Gamelobby' from GameClient.ocx, version may be outdated...etc"

I also tried installing in different dir. like in Scourge of War dir.

I have Win Vista 64Bit by the way.

Bump as people may want to know about this.

New players do come into the lobby sometimes but when no one's there they don't know that we're all on teamspeak so they think there is no community.

I sit in there all day when I can, you can have sound alerts when players come in -- so when someone comes in I try to get them on teamspeak. It's brought in some of our new players over the months.
