Law Division scenario

I was playing the Law scenario when a couple of the regiments started running up points so fast it was hard to keep track. I went from 5000 points to 23000 in only a few minutes. The regiment just next to the big point maker was firing from almost the same position but was barely earning points.

I imagine this is a cliche and wished to report it. Too bad it wasn't a real score. :( . I might have been the overall champ! B)

Never encountered that one before! This is another that we would have to re-produce to figure out whats going on. Be sure to turn on autosave. That way if it happens again, you can get us a save.

OK

I made a screen shot of the final score, but that probably won't help. I do remember it was one regiment in Bennings brigade and one in Laws brigade.

How can I delete the score?

Not sure if that's possible without deleting all of your scores.

We'll have to let Norb chime in on this one.

I played and tested GB07 more than any other scenario, at least 20+ times, and never experienced this anomaly. Hope there aren't more dangit...and what in the heck can be causing it? A regiment would have to rout a corps to get those kind of points, if that many.

I have had a similar issue, but actually was able to catch what happened. It is actually possible to "sandwich" a commander between a couple regiments or between an item on the map and a regiment...then you just see a cascade of spawning and falling commanders in one spot racking up some massive points.

Happened to me twice, don't remember any details on the first. The second time it happened was during the first scenario, where you are Buford. I sent a cavalry unit around the left flank of the rebs and got into their artillery and as the artillery was chaotically running around an enemy commander got stuck between my charging cavalry and his own artillery, cue the cascade and the points associated with it. Unfortunately I don't have a save file, as my autosave saved about 5 seconds after it happened.

Hmmmm...no mention of a re-spawning officer in the initial post here. However, since you chimed in, I bet it's the same bug. This has been squashed by the team in a similar circumstance, but obviously we didn't kill it for good. This is a bad critter we're aware of, it's very random, but can be recreated with luck and resolve. It will die in the patch by crickety. Thanks for your report.

I thought it might be similar, he was racking up huge points and didn't know why, I was racking up huge points and saw why, so I added my 2 pennies.

At least I hope they are similar so that a patch will catch the OP's problem

Happened to me again in the Jackson scenario, made 53,000 points. Have to play all the scenarios before the patch to rack up record setting points!

Nah, will enjoy game until patch, then will try to set some records.

Strange... Never seen this happen and I've played these scenario's probably 100 times!

Please try to get us a save if you see it again. Turn on autosave, and send the save to sowsupport at scourgeofwar dot com
