MP issue

Okay, just tried to start a 2v3 MP game about 2 mins ago and it wouldn't start. This issue has occured about 5x. All players make it into staging room. We pick scenario, officers etc. Then when I (the host) launch the game it loads everything all the way down the the "planting shrubbery" point. Then we get the message "waiting for all battlefield players to join....(name of player). It won't go any further. When I check my Task Manager it states NorbSoftDev "not responding."
Any ideas? Is the problem with me the host or is the problem with the player above that we're waiting on?
thx,
Boyd

How long are you waiting before you give up? If someone has a slow machine, it can take a really long time to launch the game. I've seen it take several minutes.

I wait about a minute or two (which seems like a long time when you're waiting) and then check Task Manager where I see it says "Not Responding".

Yeah the "not responding" doesn't mean much. That's Windows generic way of saying that a program is waiting on something.. I would wait a while longer. If it's always waiting on one person, chances are that person has a very slow machine and it could take several minutes before it launches.
Also the host should put all MP options on low if someone with a slow computer is playing.

Thanks. So everyone's systems defaults to whatever the host's settings are at?

Correct. The host sets the MP options on the MP setup screen. If someone is joining the game with a slow machine, it helps to put graphic settings on low. It won't be the prettiest battle, but you'll at least get to play.
