Possible Sound Fix

I found this fix as I know most people use on board sound today and realtek is one of the big ones. This did fix some issues for me. Maybe it will help with the game, as of yet I cannot find anything wrong with our sound code that would cause the problems that people are having:
- Ensure you are running the latest Realtek drivers, these can be downloaded from Realtek directly via Realtek. Alternatively your motherboard manufacturer will also be able to provide up to date drivers.

Note: If you are encountering any other issues with your sound or if you are in doubt as to what software you need then please contact your motherboard manufacturer prior to installing any driver software.

- Enable Stereo mixing, to do this browse to Start > Control Panel > Sound (in classic view). Once done switch to the Recording tab which will show the currently active inputs on your system (e.g. Line in, Microphone). Right click in the clear space below these devices and select the option for Show disabled devices. This should show an additional device called Stereo mixing, right click on this device and select Enable.

The option to show inactive inputs is checked but there is no device called stereo mixing nor there is one in the windows vista guide. :)

Anyway I found a nice video on youtube to help others find the stereo mix option: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-7eEX7aZ_E

It looks like I have NO option instead. :(

It worked on my win 7 box perfectly, do you have the latest realtek drivers?

Just installed the latest drivers but I didn't see any noticeable improvement in sound performances... but after all it's not what I'm looking at, right now. :)

Using VISTA here, don't see it either! System tells me drivers are updated.

That's really odd because I didn't expect to see it and the tab was empty when I found it, but hit the button to show all and it was there and fixed my game right away. Too bad it's not a better fix :(

Does the TC2M sound work OK for you?

I have Vista and checked my drivers and they are up to date. I have the sounds but they are very low and I need to turn the volume way up to hear them.
Just to let you know Norb TC2M sounds Work fine for me I brought over some of the CMP TC2M musket sounds renamed them and put them into SOW and they are blasting away much louder than the SOW sounds.

I have Win7, adjusted sound as Norb suggested in control panel. Sound is now great, even had to reduce volume.

So this is probably a multi fix thing. There is the driver and setting up side and our sounds need to be turned up.
