Scourge of War Boards

I have been playing the demo of Scourge of War - Gettysburg and love it!

My only complaint is the price of over 40 dollars now i understand it has Multiplayer and there are other people that need to be paid and a bunch of great things that explain the price hike but I only wish the price would drop just a tad... In the past i had bought and still own the first two games

Civil War Bull Run & Take Command 2nd manassas and they were only around $19 bucks that I can remember maybe a lil more but all and all wasn't so high


and YES incase your wondering the next 40 dollars that come my way ...will be redirected Your Way as in a purchase!

TC2M when it was first released was $45.00.

Putting it in perspective:

Dinner at the Dobbin House for you and a friend - $80 - enjoyment time 1.5 hrs

Scourge of War: Gettysburg - $45 - enjoyment time - months to years

I've gotten my money's worth just in exploring the maps. It's almost like the gameplay is a big bonus. Faith, once you get the full game and play it for a while, let us know if you still think the price is high for what you're getting.

Compared to other period games it's worth it, quality is second to none. Of course you can play the market and wait till it goes on "sale". :laugh:

I looked around and thought it was fair. Most games are around this price and we don't get the same sales figures of any major game.

The first game was very under priced and a lot of people didn't take it seriously because of the price. The second was around this figure. But I understand that times are tough right now.

Personally, I would have bought the game if it was $60. IMHO, one of the reasons why no one has ever made a game quite like this is because the consumer base at the moment is so small (or perceived that way at least). So, when MMG or NDS enter the fray, they are taking a huge gamble. Pricing then is akin to the issues resulting from economies of scale as I see it. Once they amass a large enough following and start selling more units, they will have more liberty in lowering the price if they so chose. Meanwhile, it's a very delicate balance they have to play between recouping cost and scaring away potential buyers. I think the $45 price was a pretty good mean. It's also on par with more high-end games, so I wasn't so out of the ordinary.

The customer service is worth the price of the game!

I agree Old Soldier the customer service is second to none. Plus the replay value of all their games is worth $100 bucks.
