i havn't played the multiplayer part of the gamew for awhile i put in the most recent patch and so did x navy seal and we could not connect . navy seal said it said connection failed! the other thing is i played the multiplayer by myself , and now the keyboard buttons 1 and 2 don't seem to work with the multiplayer and the unit barely respond , like i click on them go go somewhere , they start to go there and then stop. i tried pressing the 1 button to lock them into going to where i wanted the units to go a still they started to go there and then stop. so the only way i can make them advance at all was to charge then to go there . do you guys know whats going on witrh the multiplayer game ?????

how come? i need that 1 and 2 thing its a very good thing to have otherwise the units are not doing what they're ordered to do ? ok i don't understand why norb, explain plz. not all of us are
on board with playing multi with the clans that are in place theres a few of us that just want to play MP 1v1 and we don't want to play in groups because those guys are getting a little too weird about the game for us. they want to have MP all restricked and all kinds of stuff . their getting a bit carried away with the whole thing . are you going to let these groups dictate to you how they want the game to be just to suit them ? or is the game going to be functionable for ppl that don't want to be in groups?
i'm not trying to be negative, i did want to be in a group, but just between you and i
they've started putting up all kinds of rules to play the game for some kind of league
thing and hey norb, thats where i draw line because that a big problem in total war games atm and its caused ppl to quit playing NTW and ETW games because these clans or groups become very clichesh, telling ppl want to do making fun of ppl who aren't in a group dominating chat rooms, acting like they're better than ppl who are not in groups callling new ppl ''noobs'' its all very insulting. and its not fun anymore. thats why
steam-valve.com was set up for ETW AND NTW EMPIRE TOTAL WAR AND NAPOLEON TOTAL WAR which
really are not the greatest games AI is very weak , but they are easy to learn to play
and easy to play, not complicated. the majority of the ppl that play these games we all find just certain ppl that we like to play battles with and the league groups
play with themselves with the ppl of their own groups. and that has fixed things for group and non-group ppl. so i'm just wondering now which way are you going with your game ? i mean navy seal and me just wanted to have a 1v1 game and we both patched in the lastest patch and we couldn't connect. don't know why ? i haven't played the MP for at least a month or so. so i'm wondering are onl;y league ppl allowed to make games or whats going on ? i mean if thats the case i'm going to need my money back or something? really , i'm just being real with you

Well I needed a laugh and your recent post certainly done that, especially the bit where you write:"is all very insulting". That gave me a real good laugh.

All you seem to do is insult, find fault and criticise an excellent product and other people. I am beginning to think that the problems you are experiencing are perhaps down to you and not the product.

The moderators of this site must have the patience of Saints to put up with you and for that I salute them.

With regards to the TC keys 1 and 2, you still have the functionality should you care to look at the "block". I will give you a clue - look in the manual.

For the record I operate using Windows Vista, a data dongle for internet connection at one third broadband speed and have had no problems with using multi-player and only a few problems with ventrilo(depending on my location at time of use) and have played in a 15 people game with no apparent impact on game play.

As for your "need my money back" - more big laughs. If you buy something and cannot use it because of your own ineptitude you do not get a refund so why expect one now.

excuse me mowgli is your name norb? see norb this guy proves my point exactly. missed the point completely, has no clue what we were talking about.and is part of that new league thing they got going. which they told us and i quote ''if you don't have ventrillo then you can't play in the league games ''

anyway norb , is there anything in the multiplayer option that enables the 1 and 2 button for multiplayer? and xnavy seal and i havn't played to multiplayer sowg in a long time so i'm sure we've missed some other new changes in the MP sowg,

now i'm sure i should have just PM'd you with this, but i figured i'd just do it this way, cuz i know you get tons of PM's from ppl.

I see that you are as ignorant as you are rude rckgunny, so I guess I will have to give you some education in both manners and literature.

Mowgli was originally the hero in a rather good book by Rudyard Kipling, although I doubt you have read a book.

How people play a game is up to them. Those who wish to go one on one may. Those who enjoy playing as a part of a team may do so. You clearly are not a team player. You are a whiner, destroyer and not a creator. You contribute NOTHING.

As for the monkeys you refer to, they were actually called the Bandar-log who constantly chant how great they are by endlessly repeating.

"We are great. We are free. We are wonderful. We are the most wonderful people in all the jungle! We all say so, and so it must be true."

A bit like you really.

You have posted a comment in a public forum. You have been rude to people in a public forum. You Sir are truly representative of the Bandar-log.

Why I bothered to responding to someone as ill bred as you I have no idea. If you are incapable of reading a manual and have to constantly be helped by others then I doubt you can even load the game yet play it the way you say you do.

I'll reply here gunny. For a ton of reasons with gameplay and MP that arose during our beta testing, we determined to disable these commands for MP. With the chain of command and subordinate system, it was causing many issues. We have no plans to enable it. We appreciate that many people like these keys, but in order to create a solid MP system many concessions were made. The result works well. They were no disabled just to disabled them, they were disabled because they cause many MP issues. So it's a matter of solving those many issues, which cannot happen in the near future.
