PA 69th Irish Volunteers and PA 72nd Zouaves ????

Here we solicit numbers from members concerning anything regarding historical numbers that affect a Civil War simulation: hit rates, rates of fire, casualty rates, movement rates, you name it. The idea is that we're really trying to get the numbers for the game right.

PA 69th Irish Volunteers and PA 72nd Zouaves ????

Post by mclosk01 »

Being from Philadelphia and a descendant of a member of the 69th PA Irish Volunteers, that with stood the brunt of Pickett's charge at the wall, I was very disappointed not to see the unit flying their Irish colors in the game...also to their right, the 72PA Zouave Units aren't dressed as such...they were the unit at the angle, the 69th pa was in front of the corpse of tress at the wall. Is there a way I can modify these two units uniforms and colors? I'd really like to. Most units at the wall were from Philadelphia. Philadelphia brigade saw a lot of action in those three days. http://www.norbsoftdev.com/media/kunena ... 9shirt.jpg[/img_size]

Thanks for the suggestion...my uniform setting was on medium. Changed it to "best", but still no change. In the game, the Irish Brigade flags only fly in Kelly's brigade -> 116th PA, 69th NY, 88NY,...etc. Oh well I guess. Great game regardless, lost of fun and gives a unique perspective. Can't wait to go back to Gettysburg in July.

Both flag and uniform type are all changeable in the OOB's if I remember correctly. :)

OK...now how do I do that. Probably a silly question, but still haven't been able to change it yet. I'm not a computer wizard when it comes to gaming. Thanks for your help.

I love the Rock of Erin painting by Don T. I made the Irish flag so I'll check with Jim why the 69th haven't got it.
