Mr Spkr:

Don't worry about posting those picts - I'll get better ones. Thanks.

Also to J. Mayer and Co:

I apologize for complaining about settings for yesterday's battle. Checked troop stats after game and all Conf forces were 3 and Union were 2 - and that difference was likely compensated for by our position and the fact that you guys were attacking. As much as I hate to admit it, it was a fair battle.

And here are some more. Day One, Jackson's Corps v. the Federal I and XI Corps. I was the rebs, AI was the federals. I decided to take a defensive position and see what happened. It was, to say the least, memorably bloody.

Here is a shot looking down the primary lane.

This carnage actually came about an hour into the battle, after the Federal cavalry and elements of the XI corps had tried pushing on my right flank. One regiment of Hays' brigade racked up an impressive 765 kills and a score of 954. No, no scoring bugs there -- just a great position combined with arrogant (and stupid) moves by the Federals.

Here is a shot of the crossroads near that regiment. This was an ugly battle for the Federals.

And here is a view from that crossroads looking the opposite direction. Note the number of Federal casualties stretching off into the distance. Truly remarkable.

Sweet Jesus! What a mess!

MrSpkr you are a sick man for starting this thread but I have to admit that I go around during and after the battles just looking at the cadaver carpets ;)

I guess a carnage shot is the closest thing we will ever get to receiving an SOWGB trophy. Any females lurking around here willing to comment?

As morbid as this thread may be it does provoke some thought about the appearance of a field post battle. Before burial crews could start to clean up, I'm sure battle lines could be resonably traced just by the concentration of bodies. ~Gary

I was playing as a division commander, and this one happened between two AI divisions.

Didn't see it until after the game was completed.

I always forget how to post so sorry for the multiple images
