Thanks for posting this. I lived in Charleston for a few years, and made it over to that area once. Morris Island is still there, but the area of the battery is under water.Colonel Robert Gould Shaw and his 54th Massachusetts were chosen to lead the attack of July 18.

I'm glad you enjoyed the links and I thank you for the Cemetery Hill/Culps Hill Scenario Series.
How you, and others, can create mods is well appreciated by those of us lacking the skills to do so.
I was late to find TC2M and was in awe of the game and mods .... especially the well laid out installation instructions for the mods.
SOWG takes it to higher level and is even easier to install mods.
Unfortunately I did not download Garnier's SOW auto updater before it was disabled and thus can't install his mods at this time.
SOWG is incredible and will only get better!

I've been looking at the map of Fort Wagner, and the approach of the Federal attack......is it just me, or did the movie "Glory" have the 54th Mass. attacking the Fort from the wrong direction?

I remember reading somewhere that it had something to do with the position of the sun while they were filming and they didn't want the sun glare on the camera lenses.
Yes, that's a major movie goof.I've been looking at the map of Fort Wagner, and the approach of the Federal attack......is it just me, or did the movie "Glory" have the 54th Mass. attacking the Fort from the wrong direction?

At Ft. Lamar, the yanks attacked the fort (garrisoned with only 500 men) with two full divisions and couldn't take it.
The federals should have learned their lesson after the failed assault on Ft. Lamar a year earlier. It's just not possible to take a Charleston fort by a frontal assault.Colonel Robert Gould Shaw and his 54th Massachusetts were chosen to lead the attack of July 18.
