Confederate Uniform Mod

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Confederate Uniform Mod

Post by Little Powell »

Name: Confederate Uniform Mod
Version 1.1

This mod it intended to enhance the Confederate uniforms by adding sprites from TC2M and mixing in more blue uniforms. It gives them a more mixed, rag-tag look.

The credit goes to Davinci. All I did was test it and host the mod on my webspace. Hope you enjoy!

Important: You will need to run the units on high res. Eventually there will be a low res version, but for now you'll need to run them on Best setting.

Thanks

The next version will include the Iron Brigade Regiments , and a new drills.csv file that helps to keep the game from placing too many of the same units beside each other.

Also – a new firing sequence that will replace the one where the men will load their weapons, raise it, only to lower them and reload their weapons.

The csv files can be altered to have the men to continue to rod the weapons, and then to fire them.

Also – if you haven’t done so get RebBugler Flag-Mod, I started out with just a few of them to distinguish the ranks, but quickly decided to put all of them in the game.

Uh Oh...our Drills.csv files will conflict, for I have added many new formations. Hopefully we can collaborate and agree upon a solution. Otherwise, our mods will conflict, and won't be able to be used together.

Not if we edit each other’s files, this way the files will always be compatible.

Which of these files will cause you a problem, other than the drills file?

Uniform Mod
1) gfx
2) textures
3) unitglobal
4) unitmodel

Firing Mod
1) gfx
2) textures
3) unitmodel

Formation – to stop the same uniform from appearing in groups
1) drills

Basically, I’ll just need a copy of any of the above files that you have modded!

Last post till next week, gotta get up early and hit the road north to Gettysburg. DL my latest B and F version and check it out, gfx may conflict some, but I think it can be worked around, also drills should not be a big problem, since I simply add new formations, and don't change the stock ones.
