Hey, I was showing
Marching – Thru – Georgia – these icons that I made to get rid of those yellow icons, and he offered several suggestions that I corrected, and he thought that this should be made into a mod!
So, I was mainly just changing them for my game, but would be more than happy to release them if others wanted to change their default icons!
The picture may not show up that good but the icons have been changed to mostly blue and grey!

Hi Davinci.
Yep...I'll use them.
One more thing, about your mods you created for TC2M. Do any of those mods require CMP 3.0 to run?
I downloaded a few so far from Rebbugler's site, and I'm just wondering?
Later, and yes, please make it into a mod.

Greetings Davinci---I do prefer your icons with their historical and relevant colouring --butin my view there is a need to make them contrasting enough to be clearly differented --ie darkest blue and lightest grey .
Thanks for all your excellent contributions...

I would use such a mod. Agree that it is important to have as much contrast as possible so as to distinguish between unit identities.

mikesla – as far as I remember they will work with \ or without the CMP3.
Hey, a few reflections of the past!
I remember when we were all playing \ Modding CWBR, and the TC2M game was just coming out. Everyone swore that they were still going to play the CWBR game, but TC2M completely killed the CWBR game.
Now, this is basically gaming history repeating itself again, this game has mortally wounded the TC2M game, and only due to the
Map Making Aspect – that saved the blow from being fatal.
Now I think that it is good that you are devoting a lot of your time to building up your forum with various mods from the past, but that game is basically gone, forever.

The icons will show up better once viewed from the game, but they are quite distinguished from each other.
But, you guys have touched on something, I think that I’m going to make another mod that has the exact same icons, except for the
officers , this is the
Civil War – and nobody was ever one-hundred-percent sure who was marching about!
This should cause a few tense moments while gathering more intelligence.

I did have one conflict where the gray icons reverted back to Red. This was with the Mod created by Wolfe "Enhanced Map Icons", which it makes the icons on the pop-up map more visible.

Hey,
Chamberlain – now that is pretty interesting, I have no idea why they would turn red, considering that they were never that color!
Did both Mods have a
Maps_Icons.dds file loading at the same time?

The Enhanced Map Icons mod turned the Confederate icons red, like they were in TCM2. Having your icon mod and this one enabled at the same time will cause them to conflict and show up as red, since the other mod changes the grey color to red.

Just reverse the position of the two mods in the list, (use the up/down arrows), and the color will stay gray.
