Dialup & MP

Hi.
I have a Dialup connection, and it works great playing the game in Multiplayer for some reason or other, but what it comes down too it works. I doubt you will be able to host a game, perhaps a 1v1 game. If you do decide to host, then in your mp options for graphics lower all settings to the bare minimum (1v1). I haven't tried this but I am always willing to give it a try with anyone who will take the time to try it out.
Now, I will be listing below things you can do for Windows XP (works for some reason in Windows 7 as well, can't figure out why) that can help you get the most out of your connection.
First, download the latest drivers for your modem, that's always the first step.
Allright, you will need a program that will help you enter the best settings so your modem will work at it's peak.
Download this software below.
Cablenut software(free)Website: http://dslnuts.com/software.shtml
Download the versions that suits your OS.
Start up the program, and select windows 2000 as the os (it will work).
Now, enter the values below into this software. Do a backup before changing these
values.
DefaultReceiveWindow = 8192
DefaultSendWindow = 4096
DisableAddressSharing = 1
InitialLargeBufferCount = 20
InitialMediumBufferCount = 48
InitialSmallBufferCount = 64
LargeBufferSize = 40960
MaxFastTransmit = 6400
MediumBufferSize = 15040
PriorityBoost = 0
SmallBufferSize = 1280
TransmitWorker = 32
FastSendDatagramThreshold = 1024
EnableFastRouteLookup = 1
EnablePMTUDiscovery = 1
IgnorePushBitOnReceives = 0
GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize = 8760
MaxFreeTcbs = 4000
MaxHashTableSize = 8192
MaxNormLookupMemory = 1500000
SackOpts = 1
SynAttackProtect = 1
Tcp1323Opts = 0

I ues this software, and I have found my connection far more stable, and a bit faster. It also works for Windows 7 as well (for some unknown head banging reason).
Now for the disclaimer: I can't be held responsible for whatever may happen. I can assure you with a comfortable level of confidence that I have never come across a problem using this software, but since there are so many different modems, and system configurations that I cannot say for sure.
I really do hope this works for you, because it works for me.
