Supply Wagon Problem!

Post by Davinci »

OK, I think that the Single-Player Game – needs one of those quick fixes, that will solve the Supply-Wagon moving to the front of the line.

This problem seems to make a long game un-playable – due to the fact that the AI will bunch-up and never resupply, due to the movements of the supply wagon.

Now, you can change the values in the drills file, which will cause the supply-wagon to retreat, when it is in a certain vicinity of the enemy, but this still does not solve the problem.

The old game – could be modded to prevent the supply-wagons from moving, but this game seemed to have solved that glitch.

Why , not give the player the option of preventing the supply wagons from moving, this will not solve the problem, but it will be a lot better than the current system.

OK, Thank You – I’m playing as the Confederates, so I’ll see the Enemy General will allow such and act of sportsmanship!

All,

TC of your supply wagon is basic. But, what if one of your fellow Commanders doesn't? Was in one of my too few MP games last week and had this happen to me. One of my fellow Cmdrs allowed his supply wagon to roam freely. Since I was fighting hard to deny the use of the road to the enemy, this played havoc as the wagon wandered through my battlelines. I sent at least two messages to him to get hold of it, but to no avail. So, smart-ass comments aside, it would seem common courtesy to get a grip on your own supply wagon and not let it wander around. Also, you might need it for resupply, which would suck if it was captured.

Just my Ha'Penny.

The problem appears to be the fact that the Supply Wagon – is tied to the Divisional Commander , so where ever the Divisional Commander stands, so does the wagon.

Now, this really sucks, due to the fact that the enemy can-not resupply due to the fact that they can-not approach an enemy unit without ammo – this causing a repeat of advancing, retreating, advancing, and retreating.

There is currently no technique – that will prevent this, other than Norb – changing the behavior of the enemy supply wagons, or just stopping the enemy divisional commanders from standing in between the battle lines.

Why, would he stand there, sometimes I wish that there was a way of shooting the dang fool!

This problem really does need to be addressed, and fixed……I really do hate to continue to complain about something, but this just kills any type of single-player-game.

I would also agree with Davinci, Yesterday I played a single player game Brigade size only to find that the union brigade had a supply wagon, My brigade did not.

After defending my position for sometime I thought right now for a counter attack, 2 regiments where used to move around the union right, just as things got going well my troops ran out of ammo!!
No wagon to resupply!!

How much does the reb flag in the bottom look like a bullseye...

"here sonny, hold this..."

Game looks really nice on your system by the way.

I agree the Flag bearers – had to have nerves of steel to stand there and not return fire.

Yes –, thanks, I like the way that the game look. But the credit there goes to Norb, and team !
