I think this was asked before but I couldn't locate the thread...

Courier messages often state that I need to go to the position indicated on the map... but I always fail to see this marker. Am I missing something?

cheers

V,

Sometimes your marker is the "hunt them down" main objective marker. I used to go through that too b4 I figured that out. Also, one of the things I do is click over to a different commander and see where they are going. If you are a Brigade Cmdr, check another one and see where he is going.

I've noticed that sometimes it takes about 30 between getting my orders and having my objective marker appear.

That was true in the original version, but was fixed in the latest patch. You should see them on the map as soon as you get the message. Sometimes they are 'hidden' because the objective is placed exactly where you are located. But the objectives still work in a funny way. I you are a division leader, you will find a box randomly placed on the map as your location to go to. If you are a brigade commander, there is just a star, which is sometimes 'hidden'. If you are a corps commander in a corps level game, the star is always in the center oof the map. I think this is a broken feature due to the fact that your army commander is not on the field. I just ignore this order and operate independently.
