Working on a new website to help people get back to work.

Hi.

I haven't been to active with this site because I have been working on a website for the unemployed, and for those who have been foreclosed, or in the process of being foreclosed upon.

I was watching the news the other night, and you know I started to think that there must be something more I can do to help not just myself out to find a job, but to help others. I know that everything that you hear happening to others (losing their homes, can't feed their children) you perhaps think it can never happen to you, but it can, it may just happen sooner than you wish it.

So, I started creating this website for those who are out of work. I'm at the moment half way through, and I'm now in the process of gathering all the resources available for the US, and for Canada. I'm planning on gathering the most intensive list of resources which will eventually cover several areas from job banks to getting the best websites to help you keep your homes.

I have to tell you, I was working, or thought I was working for a very good company, a solid company, and one day without notice I was laid off, and I was given their assurance I would be called back which now it turns out is nothing more than a lie. So I'm off looking for work.

My employment insurance is just about out (I stayed on the insurance because my employer gave me his word I would be called back), and when I approached a young fellow at the local job bank, I soon found out that I didn't qualify for any help because I didn't fit the criteria. So what does one do? If my wife gets laid off.

This is why the new website is being made, for people like myself. Anyway, I thought I would pass this website along to you. Like I have said, it's only about halfway done.

UPDATE!

Hi. I just thought I would post an update for the website.

I have added allot more information too the American Employment Resource page, and a couple of more things to the Canadian resource page as well.

I'm still doing allot of looking, but trust me, I'll only put the best information I find on the site. If you folks come across some information which could be helpful, then by all means let me know so I can get it on this site, or just post it here so others can use that information to find some work.

Hi.

Just to give a quick update. I have just added a few more things to help those who are looking for work (USA, and Canada).

The site is about 60 percent or so completed. If you have any suggestions to make it better, or you have any links that will help others get work, then please let me know.

I just couldn't sit, and watch it on T.V anymore, I had to do something. I know I can't do much, but doing something is better than doing nothing. The way I see it, the only way we can all get through this is to help each other out. I know in today's world caring for others is looked upon as being weak, but to me showing compassion, and mercy are strengths, not weakness's. I would rather go down doing what's right, than going down doing what is wrong.

Just another update.

I am now in the works of adding Food Banks. So far I have added two one for Canada, and One for the United States. These two can be searched for the closest to your location.

Remember: There is no shame in being hungry, there is only shame when you don't ask.

Hi.

This is just an update.

The site has been updated with many changes. Some things have been removed, and many things have been added. It's much more user friendly. The site isn't complete, but it's really coming along nicely.
