Cool! I've never seen the fog setting changed. I didn't think that was actually hooked up in the game. Nice shots.

That is really interesting! Thanks for posting. In my mind's eye, I can see Hampton's Legion advancing through the fog and the AI wondering why Norb didn't tell him this might happen!:S
Good stuff that I will attempt to experiment with.

Hi.
Oh bloody <you know>. My dialup won't let the pictures finish. Davinci, how did you do this? Which files do I have to edit to get it, OR can you post an edit?
Thanks...as always leave it up to you to figure things out.
Later!

Hey, my Lan connection is so slow that I can only view the pictures at certain times, so I feel your pain!
OK,
In your Work \ SDK \ Maps folder you will find the files that make this possible.
This is a Map of the 2_DD_RT – round-top map.
So, I placed the 2_DD_RT.configuration settings file – into my Mod’s \ Maps - Folder.
Basically – whatever map that you plan on playing with – place that configuration settings file into your Mods \ Maps – folder.
Look for these lines below in the configuration file: and play around with the values.
;Fog
FogEnable=1
FogR=80
FogG=80
FogB=80
FogNear=900
FogFar=22000
All three of the 80‘s – above will change the color of the fog, it appears that higher numbers will turn the fog lighter, while lower than eighty will darken the fog.
The FogNear - how close to you the fog will appear.
The FogFar - how far away the fog will display.
I’m still searching for an eerie-like-misty-fog that doesn’t affect the fps that much, but the problem is that you have to change the numbers, start the game, look at the effect, and repeat the process all over.
But, hey that is basically what modding is – spending hours upon hours trying to figure something out!

Hi Garnier!
Very cool, thanks. tell me have you checked the fps to see how much of a hit your system takes?
Later, and thanks again Garnier!
