Which are you more interested in? Single Player or Multi-player?

I enjoy playing against humans much more than a single player against the AI. Having said that my schedual does not permit me to play multiplayer very often. So I'm engaged with the single player when I can. The new mod for the Kansas map by Davinci is terrific. It gives more options now than just the Gettysburg or Alpine maps. Can't wait for the new patches and new stuff "Map or Maps" to come out in a few months.

multi takes it to a new level in terms of game experience and enjoyment.
Just a damned shame I'm completely out of whack with the US timezones
cheers

That's why you should get your friends in your time zone to get the game and play with you.

We hope to keep growing the player base, that's why we're working on lots of free content for the game. More players, the greater chance you have to get an MP game going.

I've logged probably hundreds of hours against Norbs evil, sneaky, flank marching hard coded twin (The AI) mostly in TC2M, but also quite a bit in SoW. It is for a fact a very capable opponent, but, nothing compares to the adjusting on the fly, split division two pronged attack, relentlessness of a human opponent. MP is a great addition, and should be the base from which all other versions are built. Just my honest opinion.

If I may grand coder of the South.
When will you be allowing mods to be used in MP games?

I voted single player, but only because bad MP experiences with other games has put me off. That said, I hope to try SOW MP one day, as this is the best community I think I have ever come across.

You can have certain mods running now in MP. Because of the the way MP is coded it needs to have major chunks of the game exactly the same across all players. It took us the better part of a year of testing and code changes to get MP as stable as it is. We are a bit reluctant to mess with it unless we are getting a significant advance out of the change.

That's okay; I played years of 15 mm Napoleonics so a few years of ACW with this fine exciting software won't hurt a bit. But could we get new map packs or allow mods that are map-only so we can expand on Sandbox scenarios?
