Crash with artillery hold fire & specific target

There's a save with reproducible steps in post 2 below.

If there's anything else we can do to help track this down, let us know. I've provided all the information and files I could think of.

We just had a CTD like the one when RebBugler played with us and had a mod. It crashed about 60 minutes into the game. We've never seen this crash except when there was a mod involved. There were 7 players. This is the battle page (though we didn't get a gamedb file so we couldn't finish recording it).

None of us had toolbar mods this time that I'm aware of. We were using a multiplayer host-side mod I made. All the logs appear to end in a COMPAI for a certain 10pdr Parrott.

Some of our MP Logs
A savegame from about 30 minutes before the crash
The mod we were using
The NetServ folder for the game

The SOWGB.log showed nothing at the end but our in-game chat.

These are the ends of three of our mp logfiles (where it was currently writing to the disk, so the timestamps don't match):

Here's a print screen I took of the crash (I dragged the window around):

Crash with artillery hold fire & specific target

We got this again in another battle, and have narrowed it down to this sequence of commands:

You select a battery commander, and give the battery hold fire order.
Then after the guns are unlimbered, you give the battery commander the "battery specific target" order and click an enemy regiment. Right after the first shot is fired after this, it crashes. (You see the smoke and hear the shot).

Little brought this idea up since he had just done this sequence of actions when the game with rebbugler crashed, and again in the one just now. We tested in MP and were able to reproduce it in the first few minutes of the game, and I just did it again in singleplayer.

I'm going to try to get a save now right before it happens. It didn't happen every time I used these commands in order.

The mp logs always show that it's in COMPAI of one of the guns in the battery that was doing this.

Since we're using the stock game for these, it doesn't appear to have anything to do with mods. Just coincidence that our first two occurences of it were also our first two games with mods.

Edit:
Here's a savegame in which I reproduced the crash within 10 seconds, three times.

Directions:
Select the battery commander (if he isn't already)
1. Click hold fire button.
2. Click battery specific target.
3. Click the flag with the blue circle.

Note:
You can also reproduce it by using the hold fire button on a gun and then clicking specific target.

Great catch, it's written up and will be fixed with the Alpha. Odd combination of commands, guess that crash has been there from the start, just no one held fire then targeted till now. Regardless, don't do this command combo till fix, unless you find crashes fun.

IMPORTANT...This occurs also in SP play, so avoid this combination...DUH

I would guess it is new with the patch, because we've played at least 400 battles before this patch without ever crashing like this, and now it's happened 3 times in the 10 or so games after the patch.

But it's good to discover that it's not mod related.

I just wanted to point out that both times I've caused the crash, my guns had been unlimbered and firing before I gave the hold fire command. The first time I held fire in order to conserve ammo and the game last night I stopped firing to rest. In both cases I was using the targeting to resume firing.
