Here is the small edit I just made with different explosions, and with the sound of incoming shell fire.

Hope you enjoy it.

Hey Mike, I really like that one burst sound, good find. The others also sound crisper that the originals. Did you tweak them or find new ones?

Hi MTG.

They are new ones.

What did you think of the incoming shell sound? I'm still tinkering with it to find out if I should combine it with another less used sound so that it doesn't overwhelm the player.

Thanks MTG, and I am happy that you like it.

Please see the first post, I have updated the alternate sounds to version 2.0. I did some tweaking to the sound files.

Enjoy!

Mike, the 2nd set sounded the same as the 1st. Did you mix up the wav files?

Hi MTG.

I tweaked the volume only. I thought the original was a little too loud, and it seemed to overwhelm the rest of what was going on.

Should I tone it down some more or keep it as is?

later.

Great sounds Mike, if I may. I like the way the explosions and sound are together. The echos and incoming shell sounds. The mod of Williamsburg for TC2M, has a great sound of echoing cannon fire as well. Keep them coming my good friend.

Hi RDBoles.

I'm happy you like the new sounds, and I can assure you I'll be releasing more. I'm at the moment trying to add some sounds to the ambiance files to help draw you in more. For instance, I'm trying to add a soft train whistle, with a small mix of thunder, among other sounds I have kicking around. It's not as easy as I thought it was going to be...still doing some tweaking, pasting you know...

Oh, I had to add something here. You may find this really funny but when I first played the game with the Incoming shell sound with the explosion, I near :pinch: me drawers when I heard the shell whistling through the air, and man that puppy must have been heading straight for me because it actually scared me, then came the deafening explosion. I can tell you if I heard that sound in real life combat I would drop to my knees, and kiss my behind good bye :).

The cool thing about this is that off in the distance you can hear the shells flying through the air, and explode, but when one is heading directly toward you, even though you can't see the cannonball you know from the sound of the shell traveling through the air that it's headed straight at you, and that is what scared the bejeepers out of me because I wasn't expecting it. Anyway I think I bored everyone long enough about it...Cheers!

Thanks RDBoles.
