I tried out the demo in late January and now have convinced a friend to try out the multiplayer demo. If he is impressed I intend on buying the download version as I noticed that it is now $30. I also see that there is a new patch, 1.2. Should we be applying this patch before we try out the mulitplayer demo? My version is currently 1.103. Thanks.

Either version will work fine with the demo. The beta patch is stable and it has all of the latest features, so I recommend you guys grab it.

Sorry but I don't see patch 1.2 in the download section. Please direct me. Thanks.

My apologies for being such a nuisance but when I click on the URL a box eventually appears asking me for a username and password. I tried "McHugh" and the password I use to log in to the forums but no luck. What am I doing wrong. Thanks again.

Thanks Texas, that worked. It now indicates that I have version 1.1116. I'm quessing that it does not display 1.2 because it is a beta. I'm sure my friend will be just as impressed with the game as I am after we try the multiplayer demo. Should be two purchases of the download version as the new $30 price is a bargain. I have already burned the game download to a disk so I quess that will be my back up.

Yes, 1.116 is the correct version. Enjoy.

Absolutely apply the patch if you are evaluating the demo. We've opened up all the tutorials in the demo, so there is a lot more to try out.
