Civil War Trivia

Post by Hancock the Superb »

Since someone posted that they should have a Civil War Trivia Section, I decided I would start it. (Mainly since I don't have the gut to Google an answer, so I don't get any questions right.)

So, here we go:

Round Number 1

What were Colonel Ellis's (56 New York) last words to his men?

Let me take a crack at this,

How about, "The men must see us today."B)

P.S. I think he was with the 124th NYVI.

Your quote is incorrect, and after I posted I realized I had the wrong regiment (Wikipedia!).

Try again!

I second the monument to the male prostitute/artist that lives in Norb's basement. All in favor........:cheer:

Hancock,

What about, "Up and at them!" Or as the Gettysburg marker has it, "Up and fire!" Right or wrong?
