At the end of scenario, one of the buttons at the bottom is "dump database". Can someone explain to me what this means, the significane of it and whether I should do it. Thanks.

That dumps casualty info, ammo, and other info to the Work folder into a CSV file.

Sorry, what is a CSV file? What is the reason for doing it? Thanks.

CSV – comma separated values

These are the files used to control the game, or to mod the game.

Basically, if you play any of the default scenarios – they are a collection of csv files.

If you do not plan on modding \ making a Scenario – then there is probably not any reason that you would use it, other than to view the casualties that were inflicted doing the latest battle.

Since I don't plan on doing any modding I will dump them after each scenario. I assume that this means that I won't have files on my hard drive that I don't need. Thanks.

If you use the button to Dump the files – the game will write a file into your Works - folder.

If you just choose to ignore the button – the game will not write a file to the works folder.

Since you do not plan on modding – just ignore the button!

The purpose is to provide the data for folks like Garnier who have MP campaigns going where the results of one battle carryover into the next.
