The Patch is really awesome ! Big tanks, Norb and to your team !!!! It makes much more fun and the great Gettyburg map is fantastic !
Thx
But ....
I miss a kind of menu-point to create my own battle , especially for the MP Sandbox.
Example: We have 4 Players. I would like to give each player 1 Corps... the enemy can have the same or more/less (our decision) , we choose a map and "voila", we can fight...

That would be nice. It's on the list. But it keeps getting pushed off for other stuff.

There's a new patch? The "Downloads"-section doesn't list anything higher than 1.103...
Also; any plans for multicore support, soon? Or indeed ever?

Multicore support will probably wait until an expansion. I have experimented with it, just to check it out and there was an improvement. But it's going to take major rewrites of a few parts in the engine to get it working.
The patch is still beta and will be listed on the site when it's official.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference? (I'll take the bullet for the rest of you who don't know either).
Nudz, you can still always come play MP with us.

PCs up until the past few years had one CPU. As the ability to increase clock speeds has become a lot more difficult, chip makers have been putting more than one CPU on the big chip. A CPU in this case is also called a core. So therefore a multi-core chip has more than one CPU. With perfect coding, a dual core system should be twice as fast as a single core system with the same clock speed. However coding in both the OS and the application are rarely perfect.
At this point, most systems purchased this year have at least 2 cores. With sufficient $$$ you can get systems with 4, 6, or 8 cores.
From the gaming point of view, the game engine code must be deliberately written, or more likely rewritten, to use more than one core. This is no small task and can have effects in many areas of the game, often in the rude surprise department.
As Norb has mentioned, we have on our upgrade list to do the work to make the SOW engine use the available number of cores efficiently. This will allow different parts of the game cycle to run beside each other in parallel rather than sequentially as they do now. This *should* result in a noticeable increase in game performance. Just how much remains to be seen.

Ah, I was thinking it had something to do with server hosting and whatnot for MP.
My computer's 8 years old and going strong. Give me single core or give me death!
Okay, maybe not...

I just rebuilt my computer myself a month ago. I put in a MSI mother board, with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz. Four logical processors and one physical processor, i also made sure it had eight gig of ram so it would handle everything. The next step for me is a new video card some day. I`m using a NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, it runs the game pretty good with no problems, but I still want to upgrade the card.

The new curiersystem is awesome but its would be nice, when we have multiple generals on one side if we can sometimes send the same infomail by some checkboxes or something like this to all selected generals
