Garnier - Running the launcher for the first time, it tries to update. Just after it downloads the 6 files it crashes with "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. The system cannot find the file specified."

Never had this reported before, but it's the updater having the problem that it can't find Launcher.exe after it's done updating. I guess try downloading GCM_Platte.zip again, extract it and run Launcher.exe again, and see if it happens again. Make sure you extract it to a new folder, not the same one this error happened in.

You could watch the folder you install it to while it updates and see if Launcher.exe disappears for some reason -- It shouldn't, but it must be this time. If it is disappearing, I can't think why except maybe antivirus removing it.

Tried what you suggested. I watched the folder and the Launcher.exe never disappears... Strange..

Wait, launcher.exe did disappear eventually.. I don't have any virus protection enabled but that would be my first guess as well.. I'll keep troubleshooting... In the meantime if you have any ideas let me know.

Have you tried downloading the zip again from the website and starting fresh? The updater in the screenshot is not the latest.

I updated at 1.2 on April 10th.No problem.

I did that after I first had problems but I will try again.

Well I ran the launcher with my computer in safe mode and it worked.. So it must be something removing the exe on my machine.. I know it's not a virus scanner.. Maybe this means I should do a full virus scan of my computer.. :laugh:
