You put Lee in twice! :P

2nd Photo is the odd man out. Robin Williams. Helluva beard he's got there.

Perhaps we ought to have a thread for facial hair discussion, as that is the distrinctive factor here

I believe there was one a while back.. Or at least it was on some other subject and it somehow spiraled into a thread about beards.. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen that happen.

I've been sporting a beard for close to a year now. Who needs razors..

What's a razor. These young pups out there now don't know what a real razor is. I've sported a beard since I retired from the Navy. I figured after 30 years of shaving daily, I deserved a break.

I posted two Lees purposefully as I couldn’t find any suitable contemporary likeness.

Stumbling across Robin Williams, I was immediately struck and felt like sharing his startling likeness to Grant. Actually, considering his not-too-shabby acting credentials and Grant-like physique, I would think Williams may be a worthy cast for any future General Grant biopic. I say we are overdue for a ripper of a Civil War era flick. (Now who for Lee???)

I recently tried on my very first lifelong attempt at facial hair. During my fourth week and finally sporting an impressive (IMHO) moustache/goatee, it felt like I was walking around with someone’s invisible fingers clamped onto my chin and upper lip. The breaking point which caused its immediate removal was when my wife commented: “Is that something on your face?”:pinch:

Apparently I do :pinch: I sported a beard for several years through college and grad school (almost seems requisite in that setting) but the girlfriend has since vetoed the idea. Something about upkeep and maintenance. The nerve! The whole thing behind the beard was not having to hassle with shaving and whatnot...oh well.
