I have seen it posted somewhere that the game has not been released for modding ie. different battles eras etc. as of yet.

I'm sure the answer is somewhere in the forum but between using search and manually going through the pages I didn't see it.

I'm buying the game this weekend and my question is , ballpark figure, when this will be allowed to be implemented.

Thank you.

That would be cool. Found a mod for Napoleon Total War for the Zulu Wars which is great. If you've ever seen the movie Zulu you can really appreciate it.

Although a member of the Development Team, I can solidly say that it will be entirely up to Norb when the decision for opening up the game for Modding in terms of battles, era etc...., will be made.

You can mod nearly every aspect of the game now except for maps. The SDK manual provides a good overview of what can be done and at least gives you an introduction towards how to do it. With sufficient time and motivation, you could produce a mod covering any era of black powder linear warfare. In addition there are a number of technically skilled people on these boards, including dev team members who will usually help out on mod questions.

Thanks people.

If you liked " Zulu " take some time and watch " Zulu Dawn ". My personal opinion is that it is the better of the two movies.

Thanks for the tip on "Zulu Dawn". Didn't know it existed. Found it on Netflix so I'll check it out.
