Courier Menu vs Courier Message

It might be a work around to this, but I don't know of it, but it appears that when you are in the Courier Menu giving orders, and a Courier Message appears - the message will knock you out of the process of giving orders.
This is a small issue, but while you are in the process of giving orders during combat, it is sort of irritating to do a repeat of all of those clicks, to read a message that you really don’t care about reading.

Brother,
The answer is somewhere in the game. I can't remember where I saw it, but you can set up the messages so they don't pop up. Kind of a "read later" aspect. I've had that same annoying issue, but, as usual, been too lazy to deal with it. It is somewhere in the "options" set up, I believe.

You've probably found it by now, but un-check "Auto Display Courier Messages" in the options.

10-4, thanks,
Little Powell.
Anorher Question - is there a setting that will make the
courier leave the position of the
original General, instead of being dispatched by the Commanding General?
Example - General
Armistead request that General
Garnett support him on the extreme left-flank, but the courier doesn't come from him,
it is dispatched by General
Lee, which makes the courier-system
faster than it really should be.
I think that it would be a lot better if the courier left from the position of General
Armistead, then went to the position of General
Lee, and then General
Lee would send the message to General
Garnett.
Thanks,
