Old School MP Battle

Post by Neal »

I'm interested in playing an "old school" co-op battle like we did many, many moons ago. It would be myself, Mr. Gordon, and whomever else would like to join and play. Couriers would be used and we'd have someone designated as the commander for the battle.

Not a campaign, just a battle, for the fun of it.

If you're interested, drop me a line at: thelovingportrait@gmail.com and we'll work out a time. :)

Join our teamspeak server and we will probably be able to get that done.

I'll play along, especially if I get to bring the horses out of the stable again.

I've always wanted to actually use the cav as a scouting force in an MP game like they were intended.

We had a player lose his internet connection, and then a few minutes later, the dreaded freeze. I think Writer said it was waiting on Robinson.

Lots of freezes lately, but then again, lots of players lately, 17 in that battle.

I wonder if SOW was playable through the Steam engine would we have these problems?

I love the big games, but they almost always freeze, at least here lately.

Yeah if someone loses their connection then the game is supposed to recover. It will pause and appear to crash, but after a several seconds it will get going again..

We are counting on you guys to get us log files when you crash during those big games, or we'll never be able to fix it.. We don't have enough guys on the team to have 17 player tests..

It's especially important to get the log of the player you are waiting on.. So if it says "waiting on Robinson", his log will more than likely have a clue as to what caused the crash.
