Over the last few weeks whenever I do a Sandbox scenario (no matter what map or OOB) I have been getting an opponent that is nothing but either ALL artillery or Cavalry...no infantry at all. It is quite funny to see hundreds of artillery pieces coming down the road to your position!

What Version of the game are you running?

Also - have you tried the same thing without using any mods?

I think that there was a problem such as this during the earlier days, but that problem has been corrected.

You can use Garnier's OOB creator load up the main oob rename it and then eliminate the artillery corp and cavalry corp and you will never have that problem again.

I am using V1.2. I actually had major issues after installing the patch with my mods so I uninstalled them then later on reinstalled only a couple I deemed necessary with no issues. I did play a scenario that ran fine last week with the proper balance of infantry and artillery but the majority of the others are the opposite. Imagine my surprise when using the Gettysburg map and after an hour or more looking for the opposing side it is entirely made up of artillery?

You can create all the oob variations you need. If you play this game long enough you will. As if you may want to put the AOP's 2nd corp vs Longstreets, etc. This can all be done by creating different oobs that give you the exact match up you want or oob's without artillery or cavalry corps.

It is just a spreadsheet file and a mod to put it in.
