Level 5 Toolbar - Brigade with Regiments Listed

As I'm constantly working on toolbar improvements, my latest quest has been to list the regiments, subs, on the brigade level toolbar. You may have noticed like me, that there is a lot of available space for more info on the officer level toolbars...just a matter of moving stuff around.
Well, I'm stumped.
Ideally, I tried to list the regiments, so they always will show on the brigade toolbar, along with their status into, say, fatigue, morale, and strength. Also, be able to select the regiment and have a goto button like in the OOB screen. This process would include the gui and guitext files. I got as far as getting one regiment listed using $cursub, but somehow #cursubID must be called to identify the regiment to the brigade. Also, the other problem...how to list the regiments using the command &listallsubs, as used by the gscreens file.
So, after this attempt failed, I proceeded to plan B...call up a new screen listing the regiments with a screen on a designated cleared space on the toolbar. I split the OOB button to call up this screen, so one click, and you have access to the regiments. However, I found it impossible to grab just the regiment listings in the OOB, no matter how many gscreen ideas I came up with. Every attempt wound up just showing the upper left corner of the OOB screen.
Anyway, thought I throw this out, and maybe someone could help me develop this idea, and maybe ADukes with confirm on whether this is even possible.
BTW, this would be a Gameplay improvement, for I know the 'die hard realists' are rolling their eyes and muttering...TOO MUCH INFORMATION.
