Curious to know if any other battles are being worked on.

The subject line says it all, I thoroughly enjoy this game and would like to see more come out from the developers.
Anything along the lines of the Napoleonic era? Please say yes

Of Course.
Nap, not yet...discussed, for sure.

...still plenty to do on this side of the pond, especially with the sesquicentennial happening NOW.

Well, "discussed" is better than nothing. Almost a year from my last visit, being too involved with modding NTW but now I will buy SOW to support your company even though CW is not my beloved ground. We're adopting SOW for MP games in our clan so I hope eventually something napoleonic could be worked on.
Btw I'm quite skilled in modding stuff being designer of NTW3 mod for NTW (all historical battles made by me). No secret that a Waterloo with a detailed map and SOW command style of play is one of my dream.
I will check for tutorial/posts on map making. I read some nap sprites have been already developed by others.
Keep on "discussing" please

They won't let us make maps, so no waterloo.

Is this Mod MP only? Can't tell from the description.

Welcome aboard, you and your clan...
As you mentioned, Nap interest is increasing, and SOW is here for the long haul to recreate QUALITY 19th Century warfare. Unless we overwhelm Norb and the sprite/map gurus, this evolution will take time, maintaining historic/realistic standards by which this game is committed to.

I'm pretty sure Norb worked on an excellent Waterloo game back in the early 2000s (2001 maybe?), for what that's worth.

Yes, mainly MP which is for me the only way to play a wargame (even though SOW AI is quite good).
You can play historical battles with 100+ units per side in SP but NTW AI is more stupid than a retarded donkey. 2vs2 is usually the best deal for large battle like Waterloo, Austerlitz or Eylau.

Thanks R. Although there are times when I play SOW against the AI I feel like that four legged creature myself.

I worked Waterloo as part of Breakaway Games. They worked from Sid's Gettysburg engine. My contribution was fairly small though, as it was the first ever commercial game that I worked on. Mostly UI stuff and the random battle generator. Life is much easier when you can just focus on one part rather than the entire project.
