Thanks for the heads up but the show wasn't well received on this board. Check out this thread.

I applaud your decision to form your own opinion as long as it doesn't conflict with mine.

If this is the same Documentary that Ridley and his brother did that was aired over here in the States on the History Channel earlier this year.......don't waste your tea time! It was panned by a good portion of this forum, due to it's lack of accuracy.

Hi, anything Civil War on the History Ch. is worth watching- I did see this and it is very cool. Some really GREAT re-enacting- I saw Gettysburg (2007) on Military History and it is really great- they include Jeb Stuart's rear attack and Culp's Hill- that the 1994 TNT movie left out- but was a good movie none the less- even if it was Union biased throughout. The movie 'Glory' has real good battle scenes near the end- very good re-enacting. Take care

I agree. Even though it may not be 100% accurate, that Gettysburg doc is still worth watching. I like how they concentrated on people and events that aren't normally covered. Like Barksdale's charge, Culps Hill, Rufus Dawes, etc.

Needless to say, my favorite was Sherman's March

Conforming now.
Waterloo was a big budget movie out in the 70's or 80's plenty of battles, but was such a dud. Christopher Plummer who is normally great was such an over-actor in it.
Edit - I meant Rod Steiger

Glad you mentioned Waterloo. I have it but haven't watched it yet.
