Vice City Multiplayer MOD!...Adding MP to something that never had the option.

Hi.

Vice City Multiplayer is an unofficial multiplayer modification to the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, a game developed by Rockstar North and released in 2003. The aim of VC:MP is to integrate rich and entertaining multiplayer capabilities into the original game.

Note: I have this installed as well, and it works very well. Whoever said you can't create a mod that makes a single player game into MP? Hmmmm makes you wonder if TC2M can be modded to support MP.

Cheers, and Enjoy!

Hi.

It works well in XP, unfortunately you will receive after you logoff, and exit the game an access violation using Vista, or Windows 7. I'm now looking for some sort of fix for this in their forums area. All in all it does work pretty good like I said for XP. I have played it in Windows 7, and it worked well until I exited back to the desktop, then a flood of Access Violations occured.

Later.

Hi.

Here is a fix for Windows 7, and Vista. Download the version which suits your OS type. I'm doing some testing now to check it out. (works alright on Dialup...go figure).
Install Instruction: Okay, here is the last update on this. Once you copy the file "VCMPBrowser.exe" over to your main game directory, just delete the old file called "vc-mp.exe", then rename VCMPBrowser.exe to vc-mp.exe. That's it you now have a copy which works well on Windows 7, and Vista....Works fine with a Dialup connection. :)

Note: Imagine doing something like this for TC2M...

So Installed GTA:VC and the MP mod. Took me three tries to get a browser that would work and then when I tried to play it crashed with an "unhandled exception". So I played SP for awhile and I remembered how much fun the game is. Although it's better on an XBox because of the controller.

Haven't played GTA in years.. Played it a lot in college.. I remember I would start off playing the missions, but I always end up either running around shooting random people, or picking up hookers, beating them, and stealing their money...

You're not the only one, brother. That was the best part of the game.

Hey LP.

I never took you for a GTA player, but then again I don't know you.

What interests me in this game is trying to get as many stars as possible (cops), and see how far I can get reducing them. The cops are mindless...I think the most I was able to get reduced is 4 stars, now that took allot of running, driving, and kick the crap out of everyone I could to evade police...great FUN! :woohoo:
