Scourge of War Boards

If I select a Battery Commander and manually choose a target, shouldn't all my guns now fire at the same target? What I find is one might target it but not the rest.

From the manual:

"There are seven Artillery Combat Orders buttons specific to artillery batteries
and single guns:
• Choose Specific Target This button allows the player to choose
the target for the selected battery or gun, rather than the AI.
When this button is selected, a “crosshairs” icon will appear on the
cursor. Place the cursor on an enemy unit and click on it to select
that unit as the target."

Was the target visible to all the guns? If the primary target is not in LOS, a gun will look for another. When the target comes into view, the gun will switch back to it.
