Hi.
I was looking over Davinci's new Toolbar (this guys is great with these things), and I was wondering if there is a way to have sub menus appear when you press on a particular toolbar button?
Later.

You could set up menus like the stock toolbar is setup with the 3-tier system (combat, movement, orders, panel). In theory you can have several buttons that bring up several more buttons etc.

Thanks LP. I've noticed that the toolbar gets pretty cluttered trying to fit everything in there, and I was looking to take a peek at having other panels popup with a list of other commands. I love RebBulgers, and Davinci's work, but they are a bit cluttered.
No offense RebBugler, you are one of the best out there (I'm hooked on your mod), but I have found that when I'm in a quick hurry to send out commands I sometimes forget that just a pixel click away can end up my being frustrated to the point the wife tells me to keep it down, and stop letting the expletives fly.
I am looking to free myself from getting that frustrated feeling, and have other pop-up panels take the place of the splitting of command buttons.
Anyway, I'm going to see what I can do...
Thanks again for the reply LP.

I would say that it is more of a
fact than a
theory , the game is programmed to allow the modder to add as many
groups as they would like.
There seems to be only
one file that controls this, and that’s the
gui file!

The default game is set up fairly logical, keeping all of the pertinent buttons in close proximity of each other. Now I guess you can add space in-between them, after all it’s your game so do what you think is best.
I’ll bet that after you finish with that mod, you will probably wish that you would have left the buttons closer together, other-wise – you will spend a lot of time moving the mouse from the extreme left to the extreme right hundreds of times per game.

Definition of Modding – spending countless hours changing something, only to spend countless hours changing it back!

Hi Davinci.
Here is a small example of what I am talking about (excuse the ugliness of this). In this screenshot (my minds eye)
I would choose the Movement order chit, and a small panel would show itself above the toolbar allowing me to gain quick access to what I am looking to do. This way you can have as many options as you like without the need for splitting up the command chit.
Oh One more thing, the screen shot doesn't show this but on the toolbar you can have as many master chits as you need. The master chits would be one for Movement, Combat, Courier, MP Chat (text chat would show above toolbar), and whatever you wish, the sub commands would show above the toolbar.
The attachment example1a.jpg is no longer available
Anyway, it's not like it is ever going to be done, it was just a thought.
Note to RebBugler: I quick pasted some of your movement orders from your flag mod, I hope you don't mind Sir.
Later, and thanks for wising me up on modding.
