Random Maps for the GCM

I'm pretty sure (if allowed) that Garnier can build a random map generator for the GCM. And as long as they are non-historical, completely random maps, I think NSD should let him do it. That would be an effective stimulus for the MP community.

I agree.
I think it would be great if they could release the CWBR and TC2M maps as well given they have already been covered.

As well. . . the random, East Cavalry Field map we've been playing gets replaced every time you update the GCM, so it's not like the random maps would flood the market so to speak.

I have been speaking with the G-man through PM’s since learning that there is going to be a new team of map makers.

So, the first couple of maps will be sort of random or blank maps that he can use to generate some MP maps off of.

It’s probably going to take a week or so to figure this out, I can take a map from the game and reduce the heights, but I’m still learning how to remove the roads.

Long story short – some random maps are coming but it’s going to take a minute!

I mentioned a random map generator to Little Powell a while back, and he was going to look into it. Question though, would it work in MP? After all, players would need to download the map in order to play on it.

We use a random map generator now in the GCM. It's East Cav Field but with different trees and stone walls. You simply update your GCM launcher and get the new map. Presently, Garnier can't change the height or roads or fences, but if he were allowed, we'd be playing on a new map every battle.
