Editing packed files?

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Editing packed files?

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

I'm looking to edit the packed files hopefully to be incorporate my blood mod. I will be using paint.net program to do the editing.

#1: Can this be done?
#2: Does the edited packed files have to be repacked, and have the .plist files updated?
#3: What would be the .dds parameters to save it? (paint.net)

Thanks.

Thank you Norb.

Another quick question, does the .plist file have to be edited as well to show the new info added to the .dds file?

I'm leaning toward no it doesn't, but it's always better to ask then waste time. :)

Just try it and see what happens, I don't think so, but I haven't tried everything yet.
