South Mountain 1 - Hell Itself Turned Loose

This one lived up to its name !
I ended up with a minus score and about 95% casualties. I lost a few points by scuttling around the battlefield to be near my regiments (I'm playing with couriers but still with a flying camera) and thus sometimes being away from the objective.
If anyone has survived this scenario, I'd love to hear from you. If you've scored a victory ...
I still get hugely frustrated by what I see as a major flaw in the AI, particularly apparent when fighting small defensive actions. Troops don't know to use stone walls and so will suffer huge losses and eventually get routed having stood and fought a few yards in front of a stone wall that would be perfect shelter. My top wish for an improvement to the AI would be for troops to know about defensive terrain and use it.
