It goes so slow.

The full 11 hour Antietam scenario is so slow. When I say slow, I mean that nothing happens. After the morning cornfield fight, nothing else happened. No one else deployed. It has been from 8:30 and it's now 11:30 and there ain't been another attack. Is this supposed to happen or am I just not doing something right?

You should have gotten several more attacks by now. Sedgwick's attack through the East Woods, Frenchs' attack at the Sunken Road, Burnsides attack at his Bridge, a second attack at the Sunken Road... Not sure what to tell you if you haven't gotten those attacks. The scenario was tested several times, and there was action the whole 11 hours...

I went and shot up the Kanawha division. That was all.

Interesting. It really doesn't make sense because the attacks are hard scripted to happen.

The only thing I can think of; have you by any chance moved your men far from the Objectives to different ground?

Nope. I hold all the objectives but the Dunker Church. Lee is by the West Woods. All the other objectives are held, and in some places the lines are advanced.

Did you play the multiplayer scenario by accident? Did you do any scenario creation recently? You might have the AI turned off by accident. Of course that doesn't explain how you managed to shoot anything...

Maybe Norbsoft's AI has reached the point where it understands the futility of war, and refuses to attack, instead decamping to read poetry. That's probably why Total War never developed theirs further.

I have no idea how to create anything. I didn't even know there was a multiplayer scenario, but I went to the single player. I'd like to play multiplayer but don't know how.

Sorry but I have no clue what this could be.. In fact, I'm running it right now in high speed test mode, and I've gotten all attacks so far, Sedgwick, Sunken Road, Burnside's Bridge. So it's definitely something on your end.

Very strange. Maybe the battlescript has halted for some reason... I've never seen that happen before, but I'm grasping at straws.

If you can get us a save game, we can look into it. You can zip it up and mail to matt at norbsoftdev dot com.
