Try having a Army vs Army in the Olustee Map....

If any of you can have an army vs army battle, try having it in the Olustee map.
The map is very small which makes for some very interesting clashes, and total mayhem. I have a pic for you of a battle I am just starting, and man this is really shaping up to be a battle. The map itself is packed full of the Union army, and I would suspect that the Confederates would be about the same in strength.
I'll post some more screenshots when I can.

Are you talking about Adukes masterpiece? I wonder if he could scale it back a bit for those who who run lower resolutions? (easy to say, something different to do).
[On another note]
The Olustee map has this quality to it that just makes you feel like you are locked away from the rest of the world, there is a claustrophobic feeling to it...I simply love it.
Crikey sir what have you done to us?

You are just used to the big maps in Antietam, Pipe Creek, etc. It's the same size as all of the other stock maps except for Alpine and the full Gettysburg map. 2.5 x 2.5 miles.

That makes perfect sense, it never occurred to me that would be the reason. I do normally play on the Gettysburg map for most of my sandbox battles...
Any more maps going to be released soon?
I love Maps, and Toolbars...so the more the better!
Cheers LP.

The battle is now heating up. This map is so beautifully done, and because of Crikeys genius to have the trees create the maps own claustrophobic canopy gives me a taste of what it must have been like to feel the heat of the dragon (confederates), and feel like running instead of holding your ground.
The screenshots really are not capturing the scope of this battle. There is so much going on, and eventually each side will hunt you down, and as it stands now, because of the size of two armies at each others throat in such a closed in area, there is really no where to run.
The cool part about having it so closed in like this is how the AI handles the battle. Every quadrant has several individual battles only 150 or so yards apart. You would think regiments would be flanked in the same area, but they are not...I am so happy to own this game, and happy that Crikey came out with this incredible map...
Thanks Crikey, and the men who helped put this map together.

I have always wondered what you could get for seven dollars back then.
