Those heifers. I shall do so. Maybe even some chasseurs to shoot at them from long off. This is replicated well in Napoleon Total War. French cuirassiers kick all Austrian butts!

Will,
You must remember, Napoleonic Combat requires far more Combined Arms coordination than ACW combat. The terrain is different AND the troops are different. All Arms must mutually support each other. As you have seen, in the blink of an eye, the whole battle can change. A well-timed cavalry charge or several volleys of cannister in the right place can mean the difference between a victory and a great victory. Bon Chance!
