Certainly my experience in TAKE COMMAND has helped me get oriented in this game. I am almost fully functional, maybe about 85%. What I do not understand fully are victory conditions. I played the Sedgwick Scenario, July 3rd 6 Corp, and I occupied the objectives, and did not allow the rebel lines to overrun the objectives. Yet I still was handed a major defeat with 3000pts.

Why would this happen?

thanks!

GB20 is a tough one. It's all about getting to the objective as soon as you can and you must hold it the whole scenario. The objective only gives you points when it shows a Union flag on the silver shield and you can see the points counter in red when you select the commander holding it.

I did a sandbox and the victory requirement was 1000 I got like 400 points it said inconclusive fight but the ending stats were as follows I had 248 men left of 1349 to start with the enemy had 11 men left !!! of 1560 to start with ... so its all about points if the scenario is set up that way. Points awarded for occupation I had to prevent them from getting an objective which I did but I set the required points to win to high at 1000 :0

mantrain I did an extensive explanation with graphics but it did not take it at the last second i got a browser error message but anyway it is ALL about points. so check the point requirements at the beginning of the scenario AND then do the objective or objectives that occur the best way to get points is staying in the objective zone with at least as many troops as you need as you defend off the surrounding areas.

If you do not keep the objective thing with your flag on it your gonna probably loose you have to keep milking points that way.

mantrian here is the graphic I was trying to show you I kept trying to put it in here in .bmp so I gave up on it but it works in .jpg just like the thing reads when one tries to insert.
