Courier Pathing and Default Camera Questions

I have a couple pretty basic questions:
1) Is there a way to set/save the default camera view level when navigating via OOB (cursor keys) and other such quick switches (the ME button for ex.)?? Despite having Gen John Pope as an ancestor, I'm not using the HITS restrictions, and scrolling up twice every time is just extra 'work'. Talk about a lazy gamer, huh?
2) Is there (or can we get) a way to tell our courier to use roads instead of the direct route? Don't get me wrong, I like the direct route very much since the latest update but it's not always the best one since it regularly sends my courier directly into the enemy's lines right in view. In these cases, it would be better if he actually headed to a road first.
A checkbox on the courier orders page, or something similar to switch Mr Courier Bullseye between the two routes, would be wonderful if we don't already have it. I still prefer the current one but it also tends to make me use my general to run part of the courier route in order to get a free, straight LOS.
Thanks!
