Very cool, thanks! I had never heard of Gen. Johnston's bum leg, to bad, could of used his belt to stop the flow of blood, he had no business being that close to the shooting, still to bad.

And Johnston sent his personal surgeon away to treat wounded Union prisoners. If he didn't do that his life may have been saved. His ability as a strategist is debated today but there is no doubting his personal bravery.

No problem Chamberlain! The presentation was produced by Wide Awake Films. They make excellent Civil War documentary's. The History Channel could learn from these guys.

Wide Awake Films are fantastic. I think they did the Wilson's Creek Film as well. I read that they are doing a full length 2 hour Doc on the battle. This mini documentery had too many clips from other re-enactments, but absolutely smokes any crap the History Channel has done as of late. A great mini insight of the battle. Thanks for posting it!

I also noticed the clips from previous documentary's... But they do look good in HD! I'm sure the new 2 hour DVD won't include any of the old clips. It should have footage from the recent 150th Shiloh re-enactment.
