Sandbox is used quite a bit in gaming these days. GTAIV, Crysis, Far Cry 2, and any game that doesn't have a linear way of progressing is given the "sandbox" name because you can go about it however you want.

Sounds like a good name for it Norb!!

I very seriously doubt that Mr. Hancock. :) One roar of the new updated rebel yell, will have you yanks running scared all the way back to washington. :lol:

I figured that I had heard it before. If not actually in the games, then referring to that type of play.

All this controversey over naming something. I am terrified of when the game comes out and the real issues come out!

I think it would probably be best to just give it the name "PC Game" and then have screen shots and people can figure it out from there, and each game mode just label "fight the enemy.":):):)

In "sandbox" will we have the ability to position troops "off-board", with set arrival times?

No, that is something we will add in the future, but not out of the box.

Why would you want units off the board? It just subtracts from your total firepower.

It's just for realism. The concept that units will be arriving later to relieve you.
